What's in my bag?

A fellow tumblr requested a what's in my bag post so here it is! To start off, I've had the madewell transport crossbody for almost a year now and I definitely have put it to good use.

My wallet- I've had this navy Fossil wallet for ages now but it is so simple and cute that I still love it.

Tiny mirror- I love to carry around a tiny compact mirror around in my bag in case I want to touch up my lipstick or makeup!

Lip products- Ahhh the one too many lip products. First, I have this Nyx liquid lipstick in "Bedtime Flirt". Next, I have this Nars lipliner in a really pretty red color, perfect for winter. I recently got my first Generation G ("Leo") from Glossier. I like the color but I'm still not fully in love with it. And of course I have my balm dotcom with me everywhere I go.

The miscellaneous- Oh you know, the typical hand sanitizer, hair ties, oil absorbing sheets, and note pad and pen!

Thanks for reading friends and hope you enjoyed!

monthly favorites

Today I'm sharing with you all a few of my favorite things I've been using this month of august!

--Face masks!! Ah I'm obsessed with using face masks! My favorite one for a while has been this Body Shop Tea Tree mask- it calms your skin and is so refreshing! I recently picked up these two Yes To masks from Ulta and I am so so excited to try them out!

--I've been wanting a new scent to switch it up from my usual Chloe perfume or Marc Jacobs Daisy, so I picked this perfume up on a whim at Anthropologie! It smells so fresh and I'm definitely going to be wearing it a lot!

--My love for Glossier is endless. Since I love my original Balm Dotcom so much and use it constantly, I decided to order a couple of the flavored balms. The rose and mint balms were the perfect choices and I know they're already going to be number one lip product out of many in my bag.

-- OMG my Sugar Paper LA planner...beyond excited to be organized for this upcoming school year! How cute and simple is it!?

--I finally got a watch after wanting one for so long. I actually got this on sale at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale!

Peace out babes!

What I Eat In A Day- 7/20/16

Hey friends! I have been seeing so many youtube videos called "what i eat in a day" and I really wanted to try it out. I documented my meals throughout  the day (I am vegetarian) so you guys could maybe try out some of these simple recipes! Everything is so easy to recreate!

breakfast- For breakfast I made an acai bowl which I actually make a lot of the time in the morning. They are actually so easy to make! For the base I blend an acai frozen packet, frozen blueberries, one banana, and some almond milk. Then put the blended acai base in a bowl and top it off with granola, coconut flakes, strawberries, and sliced bananas.

lunch- Many days I just can't be bothered to make a whole meal for lunch so I end up just making avocado toast! It's really filling but also healthy! I first toast two slices of light wheat bread then smash the avo on the toast with a fork and sprinkle salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes on top! Plus some lime juice!

dinner- Yesterday I pretty much just cooked random different things I found in the kitchen! I had made some black beans earlier in the day (fresh, not canned) and ate those with some jasmine rice I made, along with some sautéed peppers, onions, and corn! So good!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and let me know if you would like more of them!

San Francisco + Seattle Trip

Last week, me, my sister, and my mom all went to SF for two days and then flew over to Seattle for two days as well to visit my brother! It was such a quick trip but since we did so much in each city, it felt like a week long trip. Here are the highlights of our little summer trip!

Our first stop in SF was Cafe St. Jorge for some brunch since we were starving and we had arrived so early in the morning. This cafe was so cute with their twinkly lights on the ceiling and the little succulents on each table. I got their avo toast which was so good. Me and Jessica both got iced coffees which were on point mmm. Their yogurt dish was so fresh with fruit, granola, ad honey adding so much flavor. Such a good spot.

Next we visited the Golden Gate Bridge, obviously, and spent quite a bit of time there taking so many photos and exploring each different viewing spot. We also drove over the bridge a few times! Just a warning if you go to SF, it is SO windy.

shirt (similar), jeans

For sure we made a stop to see The Painted Ladies.

The night ended with visiting the famous Lombard street. It was crazy, people were going down the steep, curvy street on segways (why?? so scary.)! The tiny street was filled with so many flowers on each side making the whole even prettier.

my favorite house along Lombard street
On our last day in SF we did so much! We got up bright and early to go to the oh so famous Mr Holmes Bakehouse. Oh. My. God. The pastries were just so good, especially their donuts. They have flavors of the day each day for their donuts and cruffins and on this day. we were blessed with the matcha filled donut. If you go to SF this is a must!

My outfit from this day- shirt, jeans, denim jacket, shoes, bag

We also went on our first cable car ride!

Picked up this cutie little card in an adorable boutique in the Ghirardelli Square. It's by Rifle Paper Co.

Since we were in Cali, my sister and I had to get Lemonade. I got guava limade- so good but so sour.

Twin Peaks!- lowkey thought I was going to fall off the ledge because of the wind.

The next day we flew to Seattle to see my brother since he is living there for the summer at his internship. We first went to Gas Works Park where we sat and watched these tiny planes land on the water and people paddle-boarding. Next we went to see the Space Needle, but since we didn't buy tickets ahead of time to in it, we just admired it from afar. We then went to Pike Place Market and we walked through it and even bought flowers!

On our final day, we hiked Granite Mountain! WOW that was hard but worth it!

Hope you enjoyed reading about our little girls trip!

insta round-up

Hey everyone!! I thought I'd do an instagram roundup of my favorite latest pics to show you what I've been up to this summer!!

How cute is this dress!? It's from Forever 21 and under 25$. I mean I have always loved Forever 21 but lately they have really stepped up their game with cute pieces for the summer- especially dresses! At the end of this post there will be some super cute dresses linked that I have my eyes on!

Homemade acai bowls for the win! I seriously have become addicted to making these and smoothies-- especially in this heat! It's pretty simple, just blend a frozen acai packet, a banana, almond milk, blueberries and top it with plenty of granola, coconut shaves, strawberries, and banana slices. It's such a healthier alternative to ice cream- plus they are just so good.

Last week I made my first order on Colourpop's website and now I can give mini reviews for the products I bought!
- Ultra Matte Lips in 'Scrooge' and 'Clueless' - These liquid lipsticks seriously can stay on for so long throughout the day. I did notice my lips getting dry but overall they were very long wearing. The big disappoint I had with these was that they did not go on the lips as the color they show in the bottle. It's weird, but it was as though they changed color on the lips.
- Lippie Pencils in 'Aquarius' and 'Contempo' + Lippie Stix in 'Lumiere'- These lip pencils are so creamy. These two colors both go great under the Lippie Stix in 'Lumiere'.
- Super Shock Shadow in 'Nillionaire'- Sooooo pretty. This is such an everyday shadow with glitter and shine but its not too over the top for everyday.
Check out Colourpop!! I plan on buying so many more shadows since they're only 5$ each.

Peonies, *heart eyes*!!! These beautiful peonies were found at my local Trader Joes. Me and my sister have gotten peonies from Whole Foods but these were far more inexpensive, bigger and brighter! Go to your Trader Joes to snag some of these beauties before the season ends!

Always sipping on iced coffee. Summer is the best time to try out new coffee shops!

How good do these strawbs and blueberries look? This week I am definitely planning on going to pick my own blueberries in an orchard near me!

Don't forget to follow my Instagram because I post all the time! Also my snap- mod-beauty!
