What I Eat In A Day- 7/20/16

Hey friends! I have been seeing so many youtube videos called "what i eat in a day" and I really wanted to try it out. I documented my meals throughout  the day (I am vegetarian) so you guys could maybe try out some of these simple recipes! Everything is so easy to recreate!

breakfast- For breakfast I made an acai bowl which I actually make a lot of the time in the morning. They are actually so easy to make! For the base I blend an acai frozen packet, frozen blueberries, one banana, and some almond milk. Then put the blended acai base in a bowl and top it off with granola, coconut flakes, strawberries, and sliced bananas.

lunch- Many days I just can't be bothered to make a whole meal for lunch so I end up just making avocado toast! It's really filling but also healthy! I first toast two slices of light wheat bread then smash the avo on the toast with a fork and sprinkle salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes on top! Plus some lime juice!

dinner- Yesterday I pretty much just cooked random different things I found in the kitchen! I had made some black beans earlier in the day (fresh, not canned) and ate those with some jasmine rice I made, along with some sautéed peppers, onions, and corn! So good!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post and let me know if you would like more of them!

San Francisco + Seattle Trip

Last week, me, my sister, and my mom all went to SF for two days and then flew over to Seattle for two days as well to visit my brother! It was such a quick trip but since we did so much in each city, it felt like a week long trip. Here are the highlights of our little summer trip!

Our first stop in SF was Cafe St. Jorge for some brunch since we were starving and we had arrived so early in the morning. This cafe was so cute with their twinkly lights on the ceiling and the little succulents on each table. I got their avo toast which was so good. Me and Jessica both got iced coffees which were on point mmm. Their yogurt dish was so fresh with fruit, granola, ad honey adding so much flavor. Such a good spot.

Next we visited the Golden Gate Bridge, obviously, and spent quite a bit of time there taking so many photos and exploring each different viewing spot. We also drove over the bridge a few times! Just a warning if you go to SF, it is SO windy.

For sure we made a stop to see The Painted Ladies.

The night ended with visiting the famous Lombard street. It was crazy, people were going down the steep, curvy street on segways (why?? so scary.)! The tiny street was filled with so many flowers on each side making the whole even prettier.

my favorite house along Lombard street
On our last day in SF we did so much! We got up bright and early to go to the oh so famous Mr Holmes Bakehouse. Oh. My. God. The pastries were just so good, especially their donuts. They have flavors of the day each day for their donuts and cruffins and on this day. we were blessed with the matcha filled donut. If you go to SF this is a must!

My outfit from this day- shirt, jeans, denim jacket, shoes, bag

We also went on our first cable car ride!

Picked up this cutie little card in an adorable boutique in the Ghirardelli Square. It's by Rifle Paper Co.

Since we were in Cali, my sister and I had to get Lemonade. I got guava limade- so good but so sour.

Twin Peaks!- lowkey thought I was going to fall off the ledge because of the wind.

The next day we flew to Seattle to see my brother since he is living there for the summer at his internship. We first went to Gas Works Park where we sat and watched these tiny planes land on the water and people paddle-boarding. Next we went to see the Space Needle, but since we didn't buy tickets ahead of time to in it, we just admired it from afar. We then went to Pike Place Market and we walked through it and even bought flowers!

On our final day, we hiked Granite Mountain! WOW that was hard but worth it!

Hope you enjoyed reading about our little girls trip!
